Julie Williams, P.hD, M.B.A.

Dr. Williams comes to BIOwulf with a strong background in medical diagnostics sales, marketing and R&D. Most recently, she spent six years at Bayer Diagnostics (formerly Ciba Corning and Chiron Diagnostics), where she started the Department of Medical Information in the Laboratory Testing Segment. She received her doctorate from St. Louis University in 1989 in Clinical Immunology. Her research experience includes HIV research in the Immunology Branch of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She has also had research appointments in Pathology, Medicine (Allergy Division), and HIV Vaccine Center, all at the St. Louis University School of Medicine.

Dr. Williams has been involved in many areas of oncology, cardiovascular and infectious disease research and development, and has published dozens of scientific papers, abstracts and letters in peer-reviewed journals. She has performed hundreds of presentations at scientific gatherings as well as educational programs for non-technical groups.

Dr. Williams is a member of the American Association of Clinical Chemistry, American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, ASM and CLAS. She is currently chairperson of the Clinical and Diagnostic Immunology Division of the AACC, and serves on the Board of Editors for AACC Press.

She resides in Atlanta, GA with her husband and two sons.
